FIRST LOOK OBJETIVES
First Look is a space for recently completed auteur fiction and documentary films. It brings together works of different forms, languages and scales, connected by a distinctive aesthetic and narrative vision. Through Training Sessions with industry professionals and the screening of a preview at Marché du Film – Cannes 2026, the program supports films in their first approach to the international circuit of festivals, markets, and other circulation opportunities.
WHAT DOES FIRST LOOK OFFER?
FIRST LOOK is structured around two complementary stages:
A preliminary Training Sessions program, designed to support teams in preparing their projects, through talks with industry specialists and scheduled meetings with professionals.
A screening within the Marché du Film – Cannes Festival, aimed at presenting the documentaries to festival programmers, sales agents, and industry professionals.
