SHOWCASE OBJECTIVES
FANTASTIC CUTS is an initiative created by VDF Connection that combines a professional training program with a screening showcase at the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes. It is aimed at genre feature films in the post-production stage or recently completed (WIP).
The program is designed as a structured first entry point into the international market, providing selected projects with concrete tools to strengthen their professional presentation and a visibility platform before sales agents, festival programmers, and specialists in fantastic cinema.
WHAT WILL BE SCREENED?
Each production will present an audiovisual package of up to 10 minutes, consisting of:
- An editing reel (maximum 7 minutes) with English subtitles.
- A video pitch by the director or producer (maximum 3 minutes).
This content is developed during the first stage of the lab, under the guidance of specialized advisors in editing, narrative, and market strategy.
